The Perfectionist

The Perfectionist thrives on seeking the perfect solution to any problems they face.

To understand and master your specific Impostor type, you will first need to understand the problem and the purpose of your type. Then the proposal can help you with first steps towards overcoming your unique type.

The Problem:

The Perfectionist defines success as nothing less than perfection and therefore feel like they have failed when achieving anything below that.

As a perfectionist, you might never feel like your work is good enough and even when it is, you dismiss the work you put in and assume it is down to luck.

And with all that pressure you put on yourself, sometimes you end up procrastinating on tasks, because you don’t know how to start perfect, so you’d rather not start at all.

If you are in a leadership position, you might also be accused of being a micromanager – because you don’t trust that it will still be perfect, if it isn’t done in your way.
You might struggle with asking for a raise, because you feel are nowhere near perfect in your performance so don’t believe you deserve it.

The Purpose:

Behind your drive for perfectionism is the desire to do things with excellence.
You are a natural standard bearer. Quality assurance is in your DNA.

The Proposal:

Instead of letting the chase for unattainable perfection drive you (and those around you) crazy:
